When Nature Becomes the Answer

Mindful living is often labelled “crunchy” or “hippie”…
Until nothing else works.

Until the prescriptions stop helping, the specialists run out of answers, and your body is still crying out for help.

That’s when nature steps in, quietly, but powerfully.
And it does what it was always meant to do: help you heal.

Feeling Like the “Odd One Out”

Even now, after flipping our lives upside down, reconnecting with nature, removing harmful chemicals, and embracing natural remedies, I still catch myself saying things like: “I know I sound like a giant hippie, but…”,  “This is probably going to sound a little strange, but…”

Around like-minded people or within our own family, these conversations flow freely. Our mindful choices feel natural, intuitive. But in other settings, we sometimes pull back.

Not because we lack confidence in this lifestyle, we know it works.
But because we understand that not everyone is ready to hear it.

Why It Sounds So Strange to So Many

We’re living in a world that’s been disconnected from nature for generations.

From a young age, we’re taught to trust the system: If you’re unwell, you go to the doctor and get a prescription. You don't question anything when doing your weekly grocery shop, surely everything there is safe. Seed oils are “heart healthy,” butter is “bad.” Convenience over quality, speed over stillness.

The same narrative is everywhere: the news, marketing, the education system, the workplace. It’s no surprise that many of the ideas we share here go against what the general population has been led to believe.

Walking Gently with Others

We never want to come across as pushy or make anyone feel as though we’re forcing this lifestyle onto them.

So, we tread carefully.
We make gentle suggestions when it feels appropriate.
And sometimes, we just take a backseat.

We’ve learned that everyone needs to find their own path. We truly believe that, eventually, everyone will feel the pull to realign with nature in their own way, in their own time. And when that happens, we’ll ready to support them in whatever way we can.

Our Own Turning Point

Between our little family at Ren, we’ve seen our share of health challenges:

Chronic pain and fatigue, fibromyalgia, fertility struggles, gut health issues, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, eating disorders.

And after nothing else worked, we came home to ourselves.
We returned to nature.

That’s where we found the peace, relief and clarity we were searching for.

Sometimes, the Most “Out There” Ideas Work

It turns out, the most “woo woo” solutions are the most effective, because they align with how our bodies were always meant to function.

The moment you decide to stop caring what others think, that’s when things start to shift. You start living for your own peace, not for approval.

No matter which path you take, someone will have something to say.
Choose the one that brings you closer to your peace, your power, your purpose.

We’re here when you’re ready.
And if you’re already walking this path, welcome home.
