Our message isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay.
As hard as it can be to accept sometimes, we get it, our message won’t resonate with everyone.
Although our goal is to spread this message as far as possible and help others, we respect that differing opinions are part of life. In fact, we encourage a bit of healthy debate.
We’re Always Learning and Growing
Despite our complete confidence in our mission here at Ren Wellness, we know no one will ever get it 100% right all the time.
We want to be constantly learning and growing, and the way we do that is through research, personal experience, making mistakes, and of course, always staying open-minded.
Supporting Like-Minded Creators
We love to scour the web for creators and businesses with an ethos similar to ours, those with a strong urge to spread love and kindness, and to show others how to create mindful, positive, lasting change in their lives.
We want to support those creators because we all share the same goal. No one can do this alone; we need to band together.
Facing Criticism and Misunderstanding
On quite a few occasions, we have come across creators, or even just individuals, who believe our message is, as the title of this blog suggests: misinformation, restrictive, fear-mongering, or even dangerous.
There is a lot of negativities right now around trends like the "trad-wife" movement, with people sharing concerns about raw milk, claiming it’s dangerous, can cause severe illness, and should never be given to your family.
Someone very close to me once said,
"You will never convince me that butter is not bad for you."
Trying to raise awareness of harmful chemicals potentially lurking in our homes is often dismissed as "fear-mongering."
Another common criticism is that whole-food diets are restrictive, that cutting out preservatives, seed oils, refined sugars, artificial colours, and so on is "just unrealistic," "not sustainable."
Phrases like: "A little bit won’t hurt you.", "People have been eating this way for years.", "My grandma still uses that and she’s fine.", "It’s not healthy to live in fear of everything.", "Your kids are going to be so restricted."
Our Perspective
We wholeheartedly disagree.
We believe in this message so deeply because we know in our hearts it can help so many.
This is our purpose.
Not to be dramatic, but these small, incremental lifestyle adjustments have changed the lives of every member of the Ren family so drastically. We are happier, healthier, more present, more fulfilled, and we have so much clarity. We want to share this feeling.
Living in alignment with nature is not restrictive, it’s liberating.
Why We Need to Return to Nature
We’ve been sold the lie that modern medicine and convenience are the answers. But look where it’s gotten us. Why are we getting sicker?
The simple truth is we thrive when we return to the way nature intended:
Eat real food.
Get sunlight in your eyes and on your skin.
Connect your feet to the ground.
Move your body intentionally every day.
Have short, reflective moments throughout your day.
Live through the lens of kindness.
The more we strip away lab-created, toxin-filled, chemically laden products and improve our living environment, the easier it becomes for our bodies to heal and function at their best.
Our bodies were never meant to filter out all of these harmful chemicals. Although we have an incredible built-in detoxification system, we were never supposed to use all our energy fighting toxins, leaving us feeling depleted.
Challenging the Status Quo
If coming home to ourselves means challenging the status quo, then we’re here for it. (Respectfully.)
Let’s reclaim our health and our lives, together.
Please join the conversation, we would love to hear your story and your thoughts.
