What are your motivations for starting your wellness journey?
It’s such a common narrative that people work out to achieve their goal body or peak physique. Eating in a calorie deficit to look better on their wedding day or to shred for summer. Reading and studying for years just to receive a piece of paper. Working really hard, driving themselves into the ground, simply to pay the bills. To live for the weekend and to dread Monday morning.
This mindset will have you constantly working toward a temporary goal, and eventually, it'll burn you out.
Why Deeper Motivation Matters
Yes, it’s important to have a healthy relationship with what you see in the mirror. To continually learn and grow. To feel a sense of achievement. To support yourself and your family financially.
But if we want to move toward true, holistic wellness, if we want to align with our bodies and with the natural rhythms of the earth, our motivations need to be more mindful.
When we shift our mindset, when we begin to raise the bar on our intentions, that’s when everything falls into place.
Reframing the 'Why' Behind Your Habits
Feed your body a whole food diet, not to chase a number on a scale, but because whole foods support your body’s natural healing ability and help it function at its best.
Incorporate daily movement, not just to look a certain way, but to build strength, mobility, endurance, and balance.
Read and study not just to pass a test, but to deepen your knowledge and stimulate your mind.
Work hard not just to make ends meet, but to serve your family, your community, and yourself in a way that brings purpose and fulfilment.
A Mindful Foundation for Wellness
Every habit you build should be rooted in a clear, heart-centred motivation.
Instead of temporary or superficial goals, take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Let’s make every effort to honour and respect the gift of our bodies, with pure intentions. Let your choices promote nourishment, alignment, and care.
This is how we move toward true holistic health.
