Ren Wellness 2-Week Animal-Based Challenge

A Gentle Invitation Back to Real Food

This challenge is designed to help ease you into an animal-based lifestyle, a way of eating that removes processed foods, additives, and common inflammatory triggers, and replaces them with real, nourishing, animal-based foods.

No extremes. No overwhelm. Just simple, supportive steps to help your body begin to heal.

Whether you’re just curious or looking for deeper healing, this is your invitation to come back to real food, with space to go slow.

Who Is This For?

This challenge is for everyone, but especially for those living with chronic or autoimmune conditions.

If you experience symptoms like:

  • Fatigue
  • Bloating
  • Abdominal discomfort
  • Joint pain
  • Rashes or eczema

…you’re not alone. While every person is different, one of the most powerful ways to reduce inflammation and support healing is to change what you put on your plate. Our health begins in the gut, and removing common triggers can make a real difference.

What Makes Animal-Based So Effective?

This lifestyle prioritises simple, nutrient-dense, single-ingredient foods, including meat, organs, healthy fats, raw dairy, and seasonal fruit.

One of the most misunderstood parts of this approach is fat. For decades, fat has been feared,  especially when it comes to weight loss. But the truth is:

Your body thrives on fat.

Natural, healthy fats support:

  • Gut lining repair
  • Hormone balance
  • Clearer skin and stronger hair
  • Energy, mood, and brain function
  • Muscle growth and healthy weight loss

This is not a diet or a short-term detox.
It’s a return to what your body was designed for. It’s ancestral, intuitive, and deeply healing.

Eating Animal-Based on a Budget

An animal-based lifestyle can absolutely be achieved on a budget; it just requires a little intention and a shift in how you shop.

When you adopt this way of eating, you’ll find you no longer need most of what’s in the supermarket aisles. Packaged cereals, pasta, sauces, bread, snack bars, and sweet treats quickly add up, both financially and nutritionally. By removing these pantry fillers, many people actually save money in the long run, while freeing up their budget for more nourishing essentials.

The biggest investment will likely be meat, but there are affordable ways to make it work:

  • Beef mince (ground beef) is the most cost-effective option for quality, grass-fed meat. It’s rich in fat, easy to prepare, and can be used for burgers, rissoles, meatballs, or simply on its own. It freezes well and is perfect for meal prepping.
  • Rump steak is one of the most affordable cuts if you’re looking to incorporate steak. For even better value, buy a whole rump, your butcher can slice and portion it for you.
  • Roasts are another great way to stretch your budget and your time, make multiple meals from one cooking session.
  • Bone broth concentrates can feel like a splurge, but one jar contains nearly 40 serves. If you have the time, making your own broth is the most budget-friendly option. Still, the healing benefits of broth (especially for the gut) make it a worthwhile investment if you’re able to include it.

Tip: Meal prep every 1–2 days to keep your food fresh and nutrient-dense, especially when working with high-fat animal products.
